  • Advanced: All OS developer advocates and developer educators will develop multiple advanced skills over time. It is not expected any single individual master all advanced skills, but rather to build a portfolio of advanced skills that fits their own professional goals and their team’s needs.
  • Expert: Posit developer advocates and developer educators who demonstrate expert mastery of skills will be rare, and these are intended to identify truly exceptional proficiency.

You are aware of psychological safety as an important foundation to team performance and work to maintain safety on your team(s).
Organize to Learn
You promote psychological safety by facilitating team spaces to create safety from the fear of taking interpersonal risks. You take active measures to help destigmatize failure, recognizing it as a necessary part of learning and growing as an individual and a team. You are aware of fixed and growth mindsets and work to communicate in a style that supports a growth mindset and promote work that supports it.
Management Track
Expert level leadership moves individuals to the management track which is in active development.
Engaged Team Member
You are an engaged member of a team, actively and positively participating in appropriate meetings and activities.

You engage in practices and approaches for aligning multiple teams toward common goals.
